How to Assists Lucha Libre

Lucha libre mexicana

Even though you can find Mexican Wrestling anywhere in the country, the best place to watch it is Mexico City. There are two ways to get this experience:

With a Tour

There are 2 tours that are good to assist Lucha Libre: Tour de Lucha Libre and Turiluchas.

The advantage of doing it with a tour is that you don’t have to take care of anything. Forget about parking, tips and insecurity. Even the tickets they have reserved for people in the tour are pretty good.

You can find the prices here

What we recommend: If you are not familiar with the city, are a foreigner or is it the first time you go to watch Lucha Libre get a tour to get a guaranteed great experience.

What comes with the tour?

  • Transportation to the show
  • Free Luchador Mask
  • Entry ticket (Duration of the tour approx. 4 hrs)
  • Free Tequila Shot (with the tour)

🎟 Check it out here 🎟

On your own

The 2 important places to watch Lucha Libre are: Arena México and the Coliseo.

  • La Arena México: Dr. Lavista 189, Doctores, Cuauhtémoc, 06720 Ciudad de México, CDMX, México
  • El Coliseo: República de Perú 77, Centro Histórico de la Cdad. de México, Centro, Cuauhtémoc, 06000 Ciudad de México, CDMX, México

You can buy your tickets online or in person when you get to the location. As any other big event in Mexico, one must be careful when coming out because it’s when delinquency and robberies happen.

You should know you will never find front row tickets online. These are reserved for resellers at the venue.

You should be ready to tip away, everyone will ask you for a tip, at the ticket booth, the food and beer vendors, the parking guy (Everyone.)

Parking is a real headache, so the best is not brining your own car.

Do you have to know about Lucha Libre to enjoy the show?

The best part of this event is that you don’t even have to speak the same language in order to enjoy it. For example, when we went, there was a Japanese man who didn’t speak any Spanish and he spent the whole night screaming, shouting and laughing. Enjoying the show just like any of us.

As far as knowledge of Mexican wrestling, there is nothing you have to know to enjoy it. Neither Danny nor I knew anything about the sport and still really enjoyed it.
