Roqueta Island is considered one of the most beautiful jewels of Acapulco, this is an island in front of the beaches of Caleta and Caletilla and a Natural Protected Area that has a rich vegetation and serves as home to several species of animals.

How to get to Roqueta Acapulco

To get to the island it is necessary to take a yacht or boat in the port of Caleta and Caletilla beaches, prices vary depending on the type of boat you choose but it is good to know that there is something for all budgets.

Boats and boats will take you directly to the island, yachts and tours will take you around the island while explaining the most interesting things about the place.

During the tour you will be able to observe animals in their natural habitat and hear interesting facts about the area.

It is also important to keep in mind that the yachts leave every hour and the last one returns from the island at 4:00 pm.

Currently there is a hiking tour in the acapulco rocket where they explain about the fauna and flora of the place.

The tour is beautiful and offers incredible views; however, the best view is at the end of the tour where watching the ocean is breathtaking.

Of course, as in any beach in Acapulco, enjoying the sand and the sea is something you can do and it is always satisfying.

Where to eat in playa la roqueta acapulco

There are 2 restaurants on the rocky island where you can eat: La Isla de la Fantasía or Restaurante Palao.

Actually, the Palao Restaurant is a complete experience since it has its own tour which includes a buffet, open bar of national drinks, pre-Hispanic show and has its own beach.

This is not to say that you can’t eat there if you only want the buffet; however, it is important to know that going to Palao is a complete experience.

On the other hand, the island of Fantasies is a restaurant where the food is made at the time, is located on the beach of the island roqueta and has the way to ascend to the lighthouse.

I don’t think it’s worth mentioning that the food at both places is mostly seafood and fish, but there you have it in case you were wondering.
