The best beaches in Acapulco
Caleta and Caletilla Beach
We start this ranking of the best beaches in Acapulco with the famous pair of Caleta and Caletilla. These are beautiful and traditional beaches, which stand out for their calm waters and are located in Acapulco Tradicional.
Right in front of these beaches is Roqueta Island, which intercepts the Pacific currents and makes them ideal for those families who want to have a space without the danger of a strong wave dragging them down.
Caleta and Caletilla beach is surrounded by restaurants where you can enjoy freshly caught fish and seafood. Banana services are also available for you to take a violent dip in the deep waters of the Pacific Ocean.
Snorkeling is also a great option, its crystalline waters allow you to live an experience with the fauna and the world under the sea.
Caleta and Caletilla beaches are located southwest of Acapulco.
Puerto Marques Beach
If all that Acapulco Tradicional has is not enough for you, you have a very interesting option in this bay that is right next to it. The waters of Puerto Maques are also calm and not for being next to Acapulco is exempt from services.
There are good restaurants with a menu where predominantly seafood dishes, I recommend the grilled fish.
If adventure is your thing, here you can practice sports such as water skiing, jetskiing, scuba diving and of course, if you are brave enough, you can try the world’s largest zip line over the sea, Xtasea.
Puerto Marques beach is located on the airport road.
Clean and crystalline waters, seafood and fish to taste is what awaits you in this beach.
Pie de la Cuesta
The best thing about the sea is to lie back and contemplate the horizon, the gentle movement of the waves, to watch the sun disappear into the horizon at nightfall.
In Pie de la Cuesta you get the best sunsets. Here you can rent a hammock and contemplate the sunrise.
This beach divides the Pacific Ocean with the Laguna de la Laguna Coyuca
You can find it just a few kilometers to the north. of Acapulco.
The waves are strong, so if you are not an expert swimmer, leave it to those who like extreme water sports.
Diamante Beach
This beach preserves an extensive area of open sea and is considered one of the best beaches in Acapulco. If you love surfing and similar sports that require good waves to practice them. In Playa Diamante you get it.
Although I will tell you that you have to be be cautious because the beach, as beautiful as it is, can be aggressive if you are you neglect to swim. It is ideal for surfing precisely for that reason.
Playa Diamante is home to the Mundo Imperial Pierre Marques, one of the top 500 hotels in the world where you can play golf and many other hotels and apartments. Playa Diamante is extensive and thanks to this it feels quiet and spacious; however, during the vacation season it has parts that become saturated.
So if you come to this area you have plenty to choose from in Playa Diamante.
This beach is on the way to the airport.
Bonfil Beach
One of the best beaches in Acapulco, less than 30 minutes drive away you have a variety of entertainment, it is among the most visited beaches in Acapulco for its incredible sunsets and tranquility. The good news is that despite being so well known, it is not so visited.
Of course, the security is top notch and the restaurants have good prices. Bonfil beach is the place to eat grilled fish.
Its location is only 12 minutes from the airport.
La Quebrada Beach
Yours is the extreme, I know. This beach is the one you were looking for. I open with this: it is the venue for the World Championship of High Diving.
With a 45 meters high cliff you can contemplate from the lookout or dive if you are brave enough but I do not recommend it; the divers who dive are professionals with years of practice so it is not worth it if you are not a professional.
In order to be able to jump, it must be at a I recommend that you go to experts for this purpose.
The night is another experience, since the experts put on a show with torches and dives.
Now, if you don’t like to jump into the void, get on a yacht and contemplate the gorge from up close or watch it from the restaurant La Perla or from the lookout point.
This place is only 12 minutes away from the bay of Acapulco. Don’t miss the majestic experience and the diving show at La Quebrada.
The best beach in Acapulco
Surfing, diving, unforgettable sunsets, ominous food, beautiful women, sun, beige sand and much more. There are so many things to choose from on the beaches of acapulco that choosing one is difficult, but among the tourists’ scores we recommend Tres Vidas Beach.
It’s a bit expensive, but it’s worth it, here’s why. It is simply majestic, with very clean beaches, with a variety of activities to entertain you such as playing golf on a renowned golf course. Actually Tres vidas is quite a club but if you want to avoid the excessive cost then just go to the beach.
