Trajineras of Xochimilco

The trajineras of Xochimilco are a very picturesque and representative type of boat of Mexico City. Here we will share with you everything you need to know to visit them.

Its use dates back to the time of the Aztec empire and the old Tenochtitlan. Our ancestors used to travel in these small boats to go from one place to another within this great city.

With the arrival of the Spaniards and the conquest of Mexico-Tenochtitlan, the only thing that remains as a memory of this navigation activity are the Trajineras of Xochimilco. These have become one of the most important tourist attractions in the CDMX, as they are open to the public.
